Have you received the activation email?
Once you receive an activation from our event platform, you’ll be able to download the app for the event. If you’ve not received this by Friday 7th Oct (or straight after your booking is processed if you’ve booked late), please email Karen ASAP as your servers may have blocked the email, and we can send it manually.
Download the App before you arrive
Find ‘Global Good Awards’ in the App Store to check-in at the event, connect with others onsite, read about the finalists’ projects/entries and receive important notifications and reminders during the event!
Timings
18:00 – 18:55 – Drinks Reception of sustainable and organic fizz, wines, Toast Ale, non-alcoholic spirits and juices plus a substantial serving of vegan finger food. (A card-only bar will be open for spirits and other drinks)
19:00 – approx. 20:50 – The GGA Ceremony in the Great Hall (sat in cinema style comfortable seats!)
For those with a group of 5 or more, you have reserved seating, so look out for a member of the team holding up a board with your logo on.
20:30 onwards – Bowl service in ‘street food’ style will be served after the ceremony at approx. 8:45pm with a wide selection of vegan delights swiftly followed by a breath-taking ‘straight to table’ display of desserts. There’ll be plenty of choice for everyone!
23:00 – Carriages. (NB: Timings have been designed to allow for guests to make travel plans home before the last trains.)
Dress Code
Our dress code is ‘freshly-eco’… be it sustainable cotton, upcycled, handed down or from a charity shop. Colourful with a conscience; formal or casual all works if it’s eco-friendly… it makes for a very relaxed but well-dressed event! One person has notified me that they’ll be either wearing their wedding or a bridesmaid dress! Are you brave enough to join them? 😊
Don’t forget your tote bag!
We’re running our Eco-Goodies Market Stall (instead of the very unsustainable Goodie Bags), full of eco treats for you to select from… but to save waste, we ask you to bring your own tote bag!
Getting there
Russell Square on the Piccadilly Line is the closet tube station – just a 3–4-minute walk or approx. 10 min walk is Kings Cross. Please use postcode WC1H 9JZ on Tavistock Square. While on your way, don’t forget to tweet using the #GlobalGood hashtag!
Registration
On arrival, please sign-in with our registration team at the main reception which will be open until 21:00. NB: The event is NOT ticketed. All delegate names are logged in our events registration app. Any name changes, please notify karen@GlobalGoodAwards.co.uk within 24hrs of the event.
Access and Housekeeping
If anyone requires disabled access, please contact Victoria Lewis: vlewis@bma.org.uk BMA House is a strictly non-smoking or vaping venue, including the Courtyard. Smokers must leave the courtyard through the central gates.
Allergies
If we’ve been made aware of any specific allergies, then you will be catered for. Our menu is vegan and nut free (unless you have an airborne allergy), with at least 1 gluten free option per course. We cannot take responsibility for allergies that we’ve not been made aware of.

Timings
18:15 – 18:45 – We’ll be running a ‘Networking Carousel’ from 18:15 – 18:45 which you can access via the main screen (lobby) on the Let’s Get Digital platform. You’ll get 3 minutes to network on a 1-2-1 basis with a fellow finalist before the system automatically moves you on to a new virtual guest.

Important steps to follow…
Enter the meeting via the browser, NOT a Teams account if you have one. Name yourself as the FIRST company name listed as the finalist, not your own name (unless you are up for Young Champion or Individual Leader). You can find this here: https://globalgoodawards.co.uk/2022-finalists/
Upon arrival, one of our events team will ensure you’re ready for your virtual experience.
Once you are set up in Teams and have communicated with our AV Team, you can log out of the Let’s Get Digital stream (or simply mute it as it will be experiencing a 15+ sec delay) and enjoy the same experience in Teams, but this is only for FINALISTS. All other guests can remain in the LGD platform.
Ensure your cameras are on (there will be no audio) as you will ALL be spotlighted at the starts. Then you’ll only be spotlighted again if you are announced as a winner within your category, so the in-person guests can celebrate with you (again, there will be no audio so do be animated! 😊
