Barley is now one of fewer than 2000 B Corporations in the UK, joining a network of organisations working for the benefit of people, communities and the planet.
We’ve been delighted to have employee-owned social purpose communications specialists Barley Communications as platinum sponsors of the 2023 Global Good Awards. As two-time Gold Global Good Award winners for Campaign of the Year with their client, Hubbub, they have such a strong understanding of our awards, our ethos, and our commitment to running these in a transparent and sustainable way.
Following a rigorous assessment of their social and environmental performance, Barley has achieved a very impressive score of 114.1, comfortably clear of the benchmark score of 80 required for B Corp certification.
To celebrate this milestone, they’ve launched Purpose Plus, a place bringing together their commitments to purposeful work, which revolve around three core themes: people, work and their clients; the environment, and the wider world.
As one of the first genuine purpose-led agencies, Barley doesn’t greenwash or ‘purpose’-wash, and they never will. It’s with this in mind, that it made absolute sense for us to invite Co-CEO, Sam Williams, to speak at the forthcoming Purpose Summit on 12th October.
Alongside Alex Robinson (CEO at Hubbub), she’ll be covering the topic of ‘how to communicate your purpose in an age of greenwash’ – something we should all be looking to achieve, and something which both these people are experts in!
You can find tickets for the Purpose Summit here.
Finally, huge congratulations again to the whole team at Barley – we are so honoured to have you as part of Team GGA!
