Category Description
If you are a business that demonstrates values and respects your employees by supporting and delivering well thought out and successful workplace schemes, then you are eligible for this award.
The award will focus on comprehensive programmes developed to enhance employee well-being, promote employee activities which support needs, promote sustainability and encourage a healthy work life balance. Judges will review volunteer schemes, staff energy efficiency, sustainable transport, facilities management and payroll giving. Programmes will have been primarily delivered during 2014-16 and can focus on one or all of these key areas.
Judges will be rewarding businesses that have implemented innovative workplace practices that care for and protect employees, enhance the work environment for staff at all levels and recognise employees as valued contributors to the organisation. They will also consider innovative and engaging programmes to motivate staff in following their employer’s core values by the way of staff schemes and eco-friendly work schemes.
In judging this award the panel will specifically be looking for evidence of: project verification mechanisms, quantifying the results of the initiative; the degree of innovation shown by the entrant in developing, delivering and engaging employees in the programme(s); how the organisation raised awareness to promote the offerings; and the extent to which the entry is part of an integrated scheme to improve employee relations. There is no specific time frame for this award, however judges will be looking for evidence of significant development for legacy initiatives.
