2023 was a bumper year for the Global Good Awards, with more entries than ever before.
The Global Good Awards have always sought to recognise and celebrate the very best individuals and organisations, who are making a real and demonstrable difference in sustainability and the environment. We’re not about focussing on specific industries, and we’re not about only recognising the mega corporations with huge budgets – what we are about is highlighting actions that are making an incredible impact, regardless of who is behind them.
The 2023 awards saw a record number of entries – this in itself is heartening, and demonstrates that the fight against the climate crisis continues to gather pace. Our expert panel of judges had their work cut out for them, digesting and debating the entries put before them; the quality was exceptional, and it was no easy feat to come up with the winners!
What is also great to see, is those organisations who have integrated sustainable responsibility into the fabric of every individual initiative or project that they undertake. We had three gold winners this year, for whom this wasn’t the first time they’ve found themselves top of the GGA podium! Kudos to Hubbub, ITV, and KPMG for that impressive track record.
In addition, we have those organisations who have ‘used’ the awards – specifically the judges’ feedback – as an opportunity to look at how they’re doing things, and how to improve them. For example, Bye Bye Bed won a bronze award in the Circular Economy category in 2022…and achieved gold this year.
Similarly, Alikats Mountain Holidays (silver winners in 2022) implemented a number of changes suggested in feedback by judges last year, which has resulted in them being awarded gold in the ‘SME of the Year’ category for 2023 – this is the kind of success story we love!
Our virtual ceremony aired on 12th July, when the very worthy winners were announced, and we offer a huge congratulations to them all – as well as humble thanks for the great things they’re doing. For a full list of who won what, click here.

But, here at the GGA’s, we’re not slowing down just yet as we ramp up preparations for The Purpose Summit on 12th October 2023. This inaugural event, being held in partnership with The Crowd, will bring together over 40 industry experts and business leaders, who’ll be sharing their insight to help you plan real progress in purpose-driven leadership, sustainable business, and positive social impact.
Tickets are on sale now, with an early bird discount available until 31st July. We would love to see you there!
