Paper Round

Paper Round is delighted to sponsor the Sustainable Supply Chain category at the Global Good Awards 2018.

Paper Round started life in 1988 as a Friends of the Earth project. Today we’re a standalone company providing total waste management, office supplies, secure data destruction, and food recycling to organisations across London and the South East.

An ethical approach is part of who we are, not just what we do. Last year Paper Round became the first waste contractor in London to be accredited by the Living Wage Foundation. Since 2001, we have donated over £275,000 to social and environmental charities including FareShare, The Children’s Literacy Charity and the Marine Conservation Society. Our recycling schemes are designed to retain value from the materials we collect, so our customers’ waste can return to the economy as high-quality products.

Proper recycling

We have always been a recycling company first, and during the first 15 years of operating we only collected recycling! Today we collect everything from mixed recycling and cardboard to food waste, batteries and IT equipment, and residual waste.

Our approach is in line with the circular economy; where possible we recycle materials in a closed loop fashion. The waste paper we collect is sent to a mill where it’s transformed into high-quality office paper, Image®, and we supply this back to our customers.

We have launched innovative coffee ground and coffee cup recycling to help our customers recycle more of their waste. Spent coffee grounds are processed to make biomass pellets used in biomass boilers. The paper element of coffee cups is transformed into deluxe printing paper and the residue plastic is recycled into garden furniture.

Our mission is to provide an exemplary waste and recycling service for your business which is flexible, reliable and ethical
