PROJECT: Outdoor Classroom Day
Children today spend far too little time outdoors – often less than high security prisoners, according to a shocking 2016 study. Outdoor Classroom Day is a global campaign to make outdoor learning and play part of children’s everyday life, wherever they are in the world. We engage parents, teachers and supporters to champion the importance of outdoor learning and play for children’s development and happiness. The campaign is led by Project Dirt and backed by Unilever. Working in partnership with local NGOs and Unilever offices world-wide has given us a truly international reach. In 2017, 2,345,809 children participated across 101 countries.
