PROJECT: Outdoor Classroom Day
Outdoor Classroom Day is a global campaign to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play. In 2016, 3,354 schools across 51 countries took 481,261 children outdoors for at least one lesson, and celebrated playtime too. On May 18 2017 over 1 million children took part. Outdoor learning improves children’s health, engages them with learning and leads to a greater connection with nature. Play not only teaches critical life skills such as resilience, teamwork and creativity, but is central to children’s enjoyment of childhood. Outdoor Classroom Day is led by Project Dirt working with Unilever’s Dirt is Good brands.
