Our judges love being part of this programme so much that between 80-90% come back year after year. In fact, we’ve got such incredible loyalty that we now have a waiting list – with some of our long-standing judges even offering to step aside to give new talent a chance to shine!

Elle Sambrook

Elle Sambrook | Senior Sustainability Manager, St. Ewe Free Range Eggs

Elle Sambrook has nearly a decade of humanitarian supply chain experience from working directly with communities affected by disaster and conflict in Asia and the Middle East to leading global projects in disaster risk reduction and preparedness. She set up research projects for material improvements in aid items to improve sustainability and benefit to recipients and led logistics operations in complex environments including the wars in Ukraine and Syria, flooding in Pakistan and cyclical typhoons in the Philippines. After witnessing the dramatic increase in displaced and affected people due to extreme weather caused by climate breakdown, in 2022 Elle made the switch to dealing with the root problem to support businesses with their net zero action from textile production, food manufacturing and hospitality. With her net zero and scope 3 specialism, she now works in agriculture to help farmers adapt to changing climate and prepare for the future.

Elle is a newcomer to the Judging Panel in 2025.

Scott Armstrong

Scott Armstrong | Co-founder, Cogent Action

Scott is passionate about corporate sustainability and a firm believer in the responsibilities of business to play their part in solving the climate crisis. He has worked in the energy and sustainability sector in the UK for 30 years, with great focus on supporting organisations in reducing their impact on the environment and increasing their societal value.

During his career he has championed energy reduction strategies with many of the UK’s largest companies and has been influential in the development of the Energy Managers Association in the UK where he spent 4 years on the Board, with 2 of these as non-executive Chairman.

Scott is a Co-founder of Cogent Action Ltd, a business sustainable transformation consultancy focussing on the urgency of Net Zero transition.

Scott has been on the Judging Panel since 2022.

Roshan Bharwani

Roshan Bharwani | Co-founder, Venture Advisor & Transformation Consultant

Roshan is a seasoned business leader in banking & capital markets transformation. Over her 16 year career at JPMorgan and other firms she has led several award winning transformation initiatives including large, multi-year programs with extensive budgets. She specializes in building and scaling product solutions while leading diverse, global teams with industry leading best practices. She now leverages her experience to re-shape and innovate in traditional industries using the power of new technologies like Web3, AI, ML. She focuses on projects in DeFi, sustainability and ESG using blockchains and those that use decentralisation as a concept for improving parity in society. Roshan has advised pre-seed startups in Web3 through venture capital platforms & academia and is also building her own project related to objective measurements of gender diversity and governance. She was associated with Blockchain Founders Group VC incubator & DLT Talents program (Frankfurt school of business). She is a strong advocate for women in STEM, mentoring the next generation & actively promoting them to take up roles in new and challenging sectors and sustainability.

Roshan has been on the Judging Panel since 2022.

Rory Choudhuri

Rory Choudhuri | Product Marketing Director, Soldo

Rory Choudhuri leads the product marketing team at Soldo. He is responsible for defining Soldo’s approach to our customers, ensuring they get full value from their deployments. The team also drives product development, using feedback from a range of organisations, ensuring Soldo remains at the cutting edge of the spend management sector.

Prior to joining Soldo, Rory led Cloud Solution Marketing at VMware, where he helped organisations of all sizes define their cloud and infrastructure strategy. Earlier in his career, Rory built and led teams that brought digital video editing to the UK, drove the global adoption of service standards across Telcos and deployed the first e-learning solutions in EMEA.

A passionate advocate for sustainability, Rory advocates for and advises organisations to address their CO2e consumption and he has presented at numerous sustainability-related events.

Rory lives with his wife and their dog in a little village just north of London. He and his daughter are season ticket holders at Watford Football Club, proving he is an eternal optimist.

Rory has been on the Judging Panel since 2023.

Joanna Yarrow

Joanna Yarrow | Chief Impact Officer, Human Nature

Joanna has cross-sectoral experience in strategic leadership, organisational change & development, communications & engagement, innovation & co-creation.

She is Chief Impact Officer at Human Nature – a campaigning development company that designs, builds and runs places that make sustainable living easy.

Previously Joanna was Founding Partner of creative sustainability advisory M&C Saatchi LIFE and Global Head of Sustainable & Healthy Living for IKEA, focusing on making sustainable and healthy living affordable, attractive and accessible for as many people as possible. She is a trustee of the Human Nature Foundation & sits on P&G’s sustainability advisory board.

Joanna joined the Judging Panel in 2024.

Yogesh Chauhan

Yogesh Chauhan | Director of ESG, HubSpot

Yogesh Chauhan was appointed Director of ESG at HubSpot in February 2022. His brief is to develop a new and impactful ESG strategy covering all HubSpot’s operations.

Prior to HubSpot, Yogesh was Director of Corporate Sustainability at Tata Consultancy Services for nine years overseeing the company’s sustainability and corporate affairs operations across UK and Ireland. Yogesh was also the BBC’s Chief Adviser on Corporate Responsibility and Environment.

Yogesh is a trustee of Coram, a UK charity providing better chances for children. Previous professional appointments include serving as a non-executive member of Walgreen Boots Alliance Advisory Panel for Sustainability, chairman of ICRS, a board trustee director at BITC, and a Trustee of BBC Children in Need.

Yogesh has been on the Judging Panel since 2019.

Trewin Restorick

Trewin Restorick | Founder, Sizzle Innovation

Trewin was the Founder and CEO of Hubbub UK which transforms the way environmental messages are communicated by bringing people and organisations together as a force for good. In 2020, Hubbub won Charity of the Year and in 2022 Trewin was recognised with a Global Good Awards Individual Leader of the Year. Also in 2021, he won the Business Green ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ and in 2022 voted by peers as the most influential person in the UK’s recycling and resource sector. Trewin has started a new environmental venture called Sizzle bringing organisations together to make is easy for people to live greener lifestyles. Trewin has a track-record of creating successful environmental enterprises including PaperRound (now Recorra) a flourishing recycling business and Global Action Plan a long-established environmental charity. These were built on experience gathered at Friends of the Earth where he was Director of Fundraising and at Plymouth City Council where he supported the creation of new social enterprises.

Trewin is a newcomer to the Judging Panel in 2024.

Rick Benfield

Rick Benfield | Director at RBConsulting

Rick is an experienced strategy consultant and purpose-driven business leader. The first 10 years of his consulting career was split between the corporate sector, with Accenture, and the charity sector. Since 2012, he’s been dedicated to helping businesses on their sustainability journey, founding his own award-winning company and leading the sustainability arm of a boutique strategy consultancy.

He now runs RBConsulting – a purpose-led strategy consultancy, inspiring businesses to drive positive environmental and social change, and is the founding partner of the Outsourced Chief Sustainability Officers group (OCSO) which provide fractional sustainability leadership to SMEs.

In his spare time he is a trustee of Uganda Creates – a small charity supporting young people to improve their livelihoods, and board advisor to Avery & Brown – a brand agency working with purpose-led businesses. He’s also an RSA Fellow.

Rick has been on the Judging Panel since 2017.

“I attended the Global Good Awards in 2016, which included a conference before the actual awards event. It was by far and away the best CSR related conference I had been to in years – covering the full range of topics that a company should be considering from tax policy, to pension investment, to supply chain to environmental impact and beyond. I thought then that I need to get involved with this event, they actually ‘get’ that CSR is about more than a philanthropic donation to charity!”

Jodie Bailey-Ho

Jodie Bailey-Ho | Climate Undergraduate & Activist

Jodie Bailey-Ho is a 21-year-old climate campaigner and undergraduate environmental science student at the University of Manchester in the UK. She was one of the finalists in the 2023 Canon Young Champion category for Teach the Teacher, a global campaign empowering young people to lead workshops on climate change and social justice to their educators, and is also one of the Department for Education Youth Focal Points for Sustainability and Climate Change, where she works with Ministers and the Civil Service to embed sustainability into the education system.

Her journey in the climate movement began in 2019, and since then she has lobbied for integrated climate education both in the UK and worldwide with youth-led organisations Teach the Future and Mock COP, attending COP26 and COP29 to talk to environment and education ministers about committing to climate education in their countries. Through this work, she hopes that every young person, regardless of identity and background, will feel equipped and empowered to become effective changemakers on all scales.

Jodie was a finalist for Canon Young Champion 2023, and joined the Judging Panel for this category in 2024.

Michael Blake

Michael Blake | Associate Director, Savills Earth

As an Associate Director, Social Value in Savills Earth, Michael is responsible for supporting clients to get the most social value out of their projects and programmes across their portfolios, helping to develop strategies and innovative programmes that create impact and support with community engagement among residents and keys stakeholders.

Michael has 11 years of experience in the field of social value, having recently been Head of Social Investment at The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea(RBKC) where he designed and wrote their ground-breaking Social Investment Strategy.

Michael’s work at Chelsea and Kensington led to their innovative ‘Social Investment Lease’ winning the Innovation Prize at the Public Sector Transformation Awards. Michael was also recently shortlisted for Trailblazer of the Year and Public Sector Impact Award at UKReiif 2023.

Michael specialises in social value strategy design, co-designed community engagement practices, social enterprise procurement and the creation of innovative social value focused programmes that create both financial and non-financial outcomes for clients.

He has established himself as a pioneer in the social value sector and his passion to elevate the sector as a whole also sees him sit on the Future of London Social Value Steering Group.

Michael joined the Judging Panel in 2021.

David Hall

David Hall | Social Sustainability Director – Lloyds Banking Group

David is passionate about developing and delivering purpose driven strategies and programmes; doing so over the past 10+ years in consumer and commercial banking, leveraging the systemic levers of organisational and societal change necessary to deliver sustainable performance. Working alongside key partners such as Channel 4, JLL, Small Business Britain and Korn Ferry, key highlights have included:

Leading a multi-million, multi-year environmental and social sustainability portfolio, from insight to strategy to delivery
Overseeing the Lloyds Bank flagship black entrepreneurs programme delivering 40,000+ hours targeted support to 10,000+ small business owners over the past 3 years, underpinned by the delivery of the first UK financial services sector dedicated Black Business Hub.
Sponsoring the commissioning of extensive research on the barriers faced by black-owned, disabled-owned and Northern women-owned businesses
Leading the successful integration of innovative sustainability standards into financing products for small and medium sized housing developers
Delivering sales to service focussed culture transformation programmes to 40000 colleagues servicing 25m+ customers

David currently focuses on developing a ‘targeted universalism’ approach across the corporate bank’s products and services, leading Lloyds’ active participation in the development and delivery of the government backed Lilac Review whilst enhancing social sustainability data and insights organisational capability. He has also served as a lead governor at one of the UK’s largest state primary schools for the past ten years whilst helping drive stronger collaboration amongst the broader East London schools network.

David has been on the Judging Panel since 2025.

Alice Chapple

Alice Chapple | Founder – Impact Value

Alice Chapple is a sustainable finance and impact expert with over 30 years of experience. Through her company, Impact Value, she advises funds, financial institutions, and companies on integrating social and environmental impact into their financial strategies. She also collaborates with NGOs to promote systemic change. Alice serves as Development Impact Advisor for Gridworks and FSD Africa, focusing on capital flows and energy infrastructure in Africa. She designed and teaches Cambridge University’s Sustainable Finance course. Alice holds various roles, including Director at Schroders BSC Social Impact Trust, Non-Executive Director at I(X) Net Zero, and Chair of the Tracker Group. She is also involved with advisory and investment committees for WHEB Asset Management, Acre Impact Capital, and the Development Guarantee Group. Previously, Alice was Director of Sustainable Financial Markets at Forum for the Future and worked at BII, developing ESG tools and impact frameworks. She has an MA in Economics from Cambridge and is a chartered accountant.

Alice has been on the Judging Panel since 2025.

Chidubem Nwabufo

Chidubem Nwabufo | Director of Sustainability & Operations, EMEA, Marriott International

Chidubem Nwabufo is the Director of Sustainability & Operations for EMEA at Marriott International, where she has oversight of the sustainability operations of over 1,000 hotels.

Chidubem has spent the last decade developing and implementing impactful sustainability and ESG strategies for large global organisations leading the way on sustainability. Her career has touched both the public and private sector, having worked for global consulting firm, KPMG and held a role spearheading the first Circular Economy programme for West and North Yorkshire in the UK. She started her career as an Environmental Safety Engineer at EDF Energy, before shifting to become a Sustainability Analyst. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester and a Master’s degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London. Outside of work, she enjoys interviewing people about how they make impact and drive scale in the fashion industry for her Impact Fashion Podcast.

Chidubem is a newcomer to the Judging Panel for 2025.

Louise Ellison

Louise Ellison | MD, Sustainability, EQT Partners

Louise Ellison is MD Sustainability at EQT Partners, a global private equity firm, working in the Private Capital Sustainability Team. She has 25+ years’ experience in the real estate and investment sectors, focusing since the early 2000s on sustainability. She has experience in designing and implementing sustainability strategy within corporate and fund management contexts and in consultancy. Louise is a Non-Executive Direct of Byggfakta Group, a Swedish construction information business, is a member of the Green Construction Board, a joint industry-Government initiative to support better environmental performance across the sector and a member of the Investment Committee of the British Design Fund.

Louise has been on the Judging Panel since 2020.

Louisa Harris

Louisa Harris | Founder, Curiously Liminal

Louisa is a sustainability strategist dedicated to finding creative and innovative solutions to the complex problems of our time. She is founder of Curiously Liminal – her advisory work focused on activating courageous leaders, collective impact and systems change.

Louisa brings 15 years of experience including strategy design and implementation, non-financial reporting, ESG assurance, culture change. She engages boards, leadership teams and entrepreneurs to deliver impact and has worked extensively in the B2B sector with complex global organisations. An experienced coach, moderator and programme designer and facilitator, Louisa is particularly interested in co-creating immersive and experiential events that connect, engage, inspire and call to action.

She is a Trustee of Hawkwood: Center for Future Thinking and an academic tutor for the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership’s courses on Sustainable Business Management and Sustainable Finance

Louisa joined the Judging Panel in 2022 and is also our ceremony co-host.

Phil Clarke

Phil Clarke | Co Founder, Philosophy Consulting

Phil is the co founder of Philosophy Consulting Ltd, established in 2025 when Consciam Limited, the carbon accounting and data led impact specialists joining forces with Fit For Purpose, the strategic sustainability advisors, and to create a new advisory business.

Philosophy is a new sustainability consultancy for thoughtful businesses that want to navigate complexity with integrity, and create lasting impact grounded in purpose. Our services include:

Insights and Analysis (including best practice and peer benchmarking, Double Materiality Audits, Policy and Regulation Scanning and Reviews and Corporate Sustainability Reporting and Compliance)
Strategy and Planning (including ambition and Purpose articulation, strategy Development, target setting an B Corp consultancy),

Phil is a “B Leader” having helped more than 70 companies on their B Corp journey. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies, Phil worked in the water industry and IT project management, before returning to his environmental roots. He formerly led Capgemini UK’s Environmental Sustainability team, significantly reducing impacts, engaging employees and establishing a “Net Positive” ambition.

Phil has a life-long passion for the natural world. At his happiest outdoors, fascinated by nature in all its forms, Phil believes reconnecting people with nature is a key part of solving the challenges we face, from environmental issues to health and wellbeing. Phil uses this as an excuse to spend as little time at his desk as possible exploring the Cornish cliffs, coves and countryside, often with his chocolate lab in tow.

Phil has been on the Judging Panel since 2017.

Mark Jankovich

Mark Jankovich | Founder, CEO & CSO, Delphis Eco

It started back in 2007. After 15 years in banking, Mark decided that he needed to find something more fulfilling to do with his life. So he quit, and began searching for a business idea that would change the world and have a net-positive impact, because if he wasn’t going to do it, who would? Today, as the founder of Delphis Eco, he is proud to say that not only are his products non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, non-flammable and non-harmful to aquatic and marine life, but Delphis bottles are made of 100% post consumer recycled plastic, a UK first!

Alongside Delphis, Mark has pioneered several sustainability initiatives, including his Recycled Plastic Rating trademark. He has also commissioned fringe apps for both COP26 and the 2023 World Economic Forum, and published ‘Collaborate to Zero’ – a series of inspirational interviews with fellow eco-entrepreneurs.

Mark returned to the Judging Panel in 2021 after a break, having previously judged in 2018-2019.

Dave Hampton

Dave Hampton MA (Cantab) | ‘The Carbon Coach’

Dave is a prolific campaigner for social and ecological justice, an ethical brand ambassador, and an increasingly rebellious justice activist. He stood for MP for Beaconsfield, for the Green Party, in the 2015 General Election. Over a cuppa he will give cool counsel (carbon coaching) to individuals and families, CEO’s and celebs. Until 2021, he led his own weekly radio show – “the Eco Show” – 2 hours every Monday evening, for 10 years – on Marlow FM 97.5. Dave studied Engineering at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University. At the age of 23 he was selected for the national lightweight rowing team of Great Britain.

The first 25 years of his professional career he spent influencing thought-leaders and captains of industry towards deeper sustainability. In 2005 he set up on his own as ’the carbon coach’ – the world’s first. He is an Ambassador for Embercombe, and in 2014 won the edie Sustainability Leader (individual) of the Year Award.

In 2018 Dave co-founded with Etienne Stott MBE (London 2012 Olympic canoe champion) a diverse network of Olympians and sporting legends who are together speaking out boldly on the climate emergency: ChampionsFOREarth

Dave has been on the Judging Panel since 2016.

Harriet Kelsall

Harriet Kelsall | Founder and Chair of Harriet Kelsall bespoke jewellery

Harriet Kelsall is one of the most respected designers and business trailblazers in the British jewellery industry and runs the UKs leading bespoke jewellery company. She was the 2016 HSBC Forward Ladies “Retail Business Woman of the year”, was Everywoman’s “Retail Woman of the Year” in 2011, one of The Institute of Directors magazine’s six “women who have most changed the business world” in 2014 and is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and of the City of London.

She has been a non-executive director or/and chair for various organisations including the Responsible Jewellery Council, The British Hallmarking Council and the National Association of Jewellers and currently her non-executive positions include the Intellectual Property Office and the British Allied Trades Federation.

Having helped to launch Fairtrade gold and having been a key ethical pioneer in her industry, she is a regular keynote speaker on ethics and CSR and speaks nationally and internationally about responsible business.

Harriet is passionate about helping creative business and new starters flourish and her book on the subject called “The Creative’s Guide to Starting a Business: How to turn your talent into a career” which won at the 2019 Business Book of the Year Awards.

Harriet returned to the Judging Panel in 2021 after a break, previous judging in 2016-2018.

Emily Auckland

Emily Auckland | Senior Advisor and Engagement Lead, Global Optimism

Emily leads and develops initiatives, builds movements and catalyses action on pressing sustainability challenges with business, NGOs and governments.

As Senior Advisor and Engagement Lead for The Climate Pledge at Global Optimism, Emily supports a growing global community of +450 businesses to reach net zero by 2040 – 10 years ahead of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Prior to joining Global Optimism, she was Head of Communications, Advocacy and Partnerships at the UN Global Compact Network UK and Programme Director at Chapter Zero – the Directors’ Climate Forum.

In 2015 she co-founded and later became Network Director at the UKSSD, a cross-sector initiative to accelerate the UK’s progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UKSSD had over 190 partner organisations representing all sectors of the UK economy and was recognised for its landmark projects to challenge the UK Government’s SDG commitments.

Emily worked for award-winning sustainability charity Bioregional, including leading its advocacy work during the SDG negotiations and at COP21. Her early career was spent working in NGOs in the social justice and community development sectors in the UK.

She has a MSc in International Development, a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, and is a Fellow of the RSA.

Emily has been on the Judging Panel since 2023.

Christian McBride

Christian McBride | Founder, Genuine Solutions

Christian is the founder of Genuine Solutions Group – a company he started as a young entrepreneur with some friends back in 2005.

Today the company has recycled and distributed almost 100 million units of product and serves more than 1,000 customers across 51 countries. This success has been recognised by the Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development, the Sunday Times Fast Track, Global Good Awards & Green Apple Awards.

As the visionary behind the group, Christian has been personally recognised for his business style and talent by the National Business Awards, British Exporters Association, Investors in People and Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For.

Having been touched by success as well as personal challenges, Chris believes passionately in protecting the planet and paying forward for the future which explains his key work in the areas of homelessness, unemployment, and youth skills development.

Chris is a true entrepreneur who remains passionate about business growth through innovation, continuous improvement, challenging the norm and creating effective partnerships but always with the mantra of doing the right thing.

Chris is a newcomer to the panel in 2023, following Genuine Solutions’ Gold award for Circular Economy in 2022.

Katie Grace

Katie Grace | Head of Corporate Partnerships, WaterAid

Katie Grace is an accomplished strategic partnerships leader with over 16 years’ experience developing high impact, shared‑value collaborations across the non‑profit and corporate sectors. As Head of Corporate Partnerships at WaterAid, she leads the organisation’s award‑winning team forging innovative alliances with global businesses to help tackle the water crisis and advance Sustainable Development Goal 6. Based in London, Katie has held multiple senior roles within WaterAid. She is known for her dynamic leadership, commitment to social impact, and ability to build partnerships that deliver meaningful outcomes for people, communities, and business.

Katie is returning to the judging panel in 2026

Katharine Lewis

Katharine Lewis | Partner – Trowers & Hamlins LLP

Katharine is an experienced banking and finance lawyer who acts for banks, financial institutions, corporates and public sector bodies in relation to a broad range of conventional and Shari’ah compliant finance transactions.

Katharine’s focus is on inward investment into UK real estate and she regularly advises both lenders and borrowers on senior and mezzanine syndicated facilities, bilateral loan facilities, security and other ancillary finance documents for use in the acquisition and development of all classes of real estate asset. She is also experienced in working with local authorities on project finance and the financing for investment into local housing companies.

Katharine joined the Judging Panel in 2025.

Martin Wright

Martin Wright | Journalist, environmentalist and Director of Positive News

An award-winning writer, editor, adviser and speaker on environmental solutions and sustainable futures, Martin has written for the likes of The Guardian, The Times, New Scientist & Newsweek and interviewed business and political leaders from Paul Polman to David Cameron. He has broadcast on radio and TV, including the BBC and Sky. His keynote on ‘A Case for Optimism’ kicked off the 2018 GGA ceremony.

He’s a highly experienced speaker and moderator of events and panel discussions, for, among others: The Guardian, the RSA, Hay Festival, Forum for the Future, Ethical Corporation, Ashden, the World Bank and The Crowd, and was MC of the annual World Sustainable Development Summit in Delhi from 2016-2020.

As both a journalist and Visiting Judge for the Ashden Awards, Martin has travelled extensively in Asia and Africa, reporting on and assessing small- and large-scale sustainability projects, particularly in the energy field, in everything from remote rural regions to urban slum communities.

Martin has worked with leaders at the likes of Greenpeace, WWF, Unilever, Sainsbury’s, Marine Stewardship Council, UK DfID, Sustainable Development Commission, Rewilding Britain and the British Council.

Awards include Science and Environment Journalist of the Year and the Global Green Future Leadership Award. He is an expert at communicating sustainability crisply, clearly and with a complete lack of bullshit, and at bringing complex issues down to earth.

Anna Cuskin

Anna Cuskin | Corporate Responsibility Lead, Coventry Building Society

Anna has been working in the sustainability field for over 20 years, and currently leads the social impact programme for Coventry Building Society. Working closely with partners from the public, private and third sectors, she has created innovative approaches for businesses to help address challenges facing local communities.

She is firm believer in the power of partnerships as key to improving social mobility in the most underserved communities – something which can break the cycle of generational poverty.

She is a member of BitC’s Place Taskforce, business representative on the WMCA Homelessness Taskforce, and Vice Chair of Feeding Coventry, a charity combatting food poverty.

Anna joined the Judging Panel in 2026, following Coventry’s Gold win in Educational Excellence in 2025.

Joey Tabone

Joey Tabone | Founder of Sixty7.green

Joey is an environmentalist, social justice activist, urbanist and futurist. He set up Sixty7.green in 2021 following three decades promoting and campaigning for a more sustainable and socially just world. His career spans the charity, civil service and private sectors. Prior to setting up Sixty7.green, he was at Business in the Community where for many years Joey directed the then, Prince of Wales’s Business Emergency Resilience Group helping communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from large scale climate change related disruptions. He has held senior leadership positions within the Australian Government’s Climate Change Office with responsibility for Australia’s largest national greenhouse gas reduction programme. He currently serves on several boards including HM The King’s Environmental Law Foundation, Solving Kids’ Cancer UK, and the UK LGBTQ+ charity, The Pink Singers.

With extensive experience in responsible business, CSR, business resilience, sustainability and the climate emergency, he has a strong record supporting action on climate change, developing initiatives and helping businesses clearly define their purpose.

Emily Watson

Emily Watson | Strategic Partnerships Lead, Hubbub

Emily is Strategic Partnerships Lead at award-winning creative charity Hubbub. Hubbub bring businesses, organisations, local authorities and community groups together to create campaigns that make it easier and more possible for everyone to make choices that are good for the environment.

Emily manages Hubbub’s relationships with key strategic partners such as Starbucks and Virgin Media O2. Her role is to nurture and develop important relationships that lead to the creation of high-impact campaigns. In her 4 years at Hubbub, she has led teams to deliver and scale several pioneering campaigns such as Community Calling, a nationwide tech donation scheme in partnership with Virgin Media O2 that has redistributed over 16,000 smartphones in the UK. She also leads on the strategy and development of 5p cup charge projects – the 5p cup charge is a long-standing partnership between Hubbub and Starbucks that funds community-led projects on food waste, nature and the environmental impact of cups.

Paula Owen

Paula Owen | Founder of eco action games

Paula has worked in the field of sustainability for two decades. She began her career in academia with a PhD in climate chemistry from Oxford University. However, quickly realised she couldn’t spent her entire life in a darkened laboratory and so changed tack to concentrate on communicating environmental and scientific concepts to non-technical audiences.

Since then she has worked for environmental charities, within the public sector, in UK Government environmental departments: Defra and DECC, and for the Energy Saving Trust. In 2010 she set up her own research, training and advice agency focusing on environmental sustainability generally, and energy issues and carbon management in particular. She works with a range of clients, from blue chip corporates right through to arts organisations.

She is a published author, writing on the subject of energy and energy efficiency, and was the project manager for the award-winning Defra/Decc Act on CO₂ carbon calculator. Her most recent book is titled ’how gamification can help your business engage in sustainability’.

She has become increasingly convinced that engaging the majority is vital if we are to make progress environmentally. In 2012, she was awarded a London Leaders for Sustainability position – a scheme run by the Mayor’s Office, the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the London Sustainable Development Commission – to further her work in researching the power of fun and games to encourage sustainability. She is the founder and chief ‘fun & gamer’ in her new social enterprise company – eco action games – an initiative which re-imagines well-known games and gives them an environmental twist to help education, engage and engender behaviour change in wider society.

Paula has been on the Judging Panel since the awards launched in 2015, and plays an integral part of the programme.

Louisa Ziane

Louisa Ziane | Co-founder, Toast Brewing

Louisa co-founded Toast Ale in 2015. She is the Chief Operating Officer, managing the company’s triple bottom line commitment to people, planet and profit, and ensuring the brand is true to its purpose: to end food waste, over a pint. She is also an advisor to Dabbadrop, a food start-up revolutionising indian takeaways. She is a certified management accountant with a background in sustainability consulting and marketing. She’s passionate about using business as a tool for change through social enterprise, the B Corp movement and the circular economy.

Mark McCartney

Mark McCartney | Founder, To Focus

Mark’s professional background spans 20 years, working at leading PR and Marketing consultancies. Mark went on to work for Cranfield School of Management. It was this experience that led him to develop a full-time career as an Executive Coach. Last year he completed the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership Business and Sustainability Programme. He is also holds a certificate in climate coaching from the Academy of Executive Coaching.

With over 17 years of experience in executive education and leadership coaching across 40+ countries, Mark has guided leaders at Oxford University’s Säid Business School and is an associate at EY.

To Focus supports leaders who are serious about sustainability, purpose, and long-term impact, helping them to think and inspire differently in the face of a shifting landscape.

Emma Burlow

Emma Burlow | Founder, Lighthouse Sustainability

Emma Burlow is one of the UK’s leading sustainable business specialists with more than 25yrs experience advising on sustainability strategy, climate, circularity and BCorp. She is an ILM certified Master Trainer and certified Carbon Literacy Trainer, has trained more than 800 employees from businesses including Beko; B&Q, BT Group, Silent Night and Kenwood. She has supported a wide range of businesses and startups throughout her career as an independent advisor and as a mentor through SETsquared (University of Bath) and is a founding Director and Chief Sustainability Officer for reusable medical textiles company Revolution-ZERO.

Emma is an Innovate UK assessor, sits on the UKRI National Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Research (NICER) Special Advisory Group and External Advisory Board for the University of Southampton School of Geography & Environmental Sciences.

She is the host of the Straight Talking Sustainability Podcast and Be Waste Wise webinar series. In her free time, Emma can be found on the side of a rugby pitch watching her two sons, on a yoga mat or running in the Forest of Dean.

David Picton

David Picton | Senior Vice President at EcoOnline

David is Senior Vice-President of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) at EcoOnline. Working with organisations across multiple sectors and territories, he is a former Chief Sustainability Officer and was an original Board member of the Supply Chain Sustainability School. David also achieved the Queen’s Enterprise Award for Sustainable Development, and presented the benefits of responsible business to the UN in Geneva. Prior to EcoOnline, he led Director and Executive roles in the technology, media, infrastructure and public sectors, founded an independent advisory practice and served for 20 years as a senior military officer. With a background in supply chain, operations, sales and strategy, he has chaired panels and spoken at numerous events, produced blogs, videos and mentored rising stars in the sustainability profession.

David joined the Judging Panel in 2022.

Pamela Stathaki

Pamela Stathaki | Global Head of ESG Reporting, Reckitt

Pamela is an award-winning sustainability leader with over 10 years of experience across a range of sustainability leadership roles and industries, including organisations such as Dyson, Ernst & Young, GSK, McDonald’s and now Reckitt. Currently, as Global Head of ESG Reporting at Reckitt, Pamela leads the organisation’s global sustainability reporting and disclosure agenda, supporting strong governance, risk management and climate transition planning, while influencing sustainability strategy.

Pamela is a wanderlust nature enthusiast with an international background. Outside her professional role, Pamela contributes to her wider community as a judge for the Global Good Awards and by dedicating time as a STEM Ambassador, a Westminster City Lions mentor and a Catalyse Change mentor.

Amy Brereton

Amy Brereton | Executive Director, Enactus UK & Ireland

Amy Brereton is a dedicated advocate for youth-led social innovation and social enterprise, passionate about empowering young people to create a sustainable future. With over 15 years of experience working in and alongside social impact, she has specialised in project based experiential learning to inspire and equip young people across the UK and Ireland to make a long-lasting positive impact on people, planet, and prosperity.

As the Executive Director of Enactus UK & Ireland, Amy leads a dynamic team of student and business volunteers to tackle global challenges through innovative business solutions. She champions collaboration among young changemakers, academia, and industry, driving accelerated positive impact through beneficiary-centred design and a design thinking approach.

Amy is the first female country leader for Enactus UK & Ireland and is committed to inspiring young women. As a Brownie Guide leader in her spare time, she empowers girls to reach their full potential and drive the girl guiding mission of supporting girls to believe that they can do anything.

Amy is a newcomer to the Judging Panel for 2025, following Enactus winning GOLD in Educational Excellence in 2024.

Lugano Kapembwa

Lugano Kapembwa | Group Head of EHS, Nesta

Lugano is an accomplished sustainability professional with extensive experience in driving circular, low-carbon business models within large organisations. Passionate about leveraging technology for social and environmental impact, he excels in fostering innovation and collaboration to create meaningful change.

His career spans diverse corporate environments, including Canary Wharf Group, News Corp, and BAA (London Gatwick Airport Ltd). In 2019, he co-founded Loopcycle, a circular technology start-up dedicated to advancing sustainable resource management.

Currently serving as Group Head of EHS at Nesta, the UK Government’s innovation charity for social good, Lugano leads operational strategies for environmental sustainability, workplace health, and safety. His expertise bridges corporate leadership with entrepreneurial innovation, making him a sought-after voice in sustainability and impact-driven business transformation.

A firm believer in the power of technology to shape a sustainable future, Lugano brings a wealth of knowledge and insight.

Jude Brooks

Jude Brooks | Social Purpose and Marketing Consultant

Jude Brooks is an award-winning business leader and social intrapreneur with an extensive track record of delivering transformative initiatives that generate substantial commercial outcomes alongside meaningful social impact. With over 30 years’ experience in customer-centric organisations including Coca-Cola and Tesco, Jude now helps responsible companies unlock the business case for social purpose and empowers NGOs to amplify their commercial reach. During her five-year tenure leading CSR at Aviva, Jude unified all social impact activities under a cohesive communications and impact framework, developing programmes supporting environmental and financial wellbeing outcomes. As Vice-Chair of Citizens Advice North Herts, she led the creation of a three-year strategic plan, and serves as a Board Advisor at BERRI, a clinical evaluation tool for children with complex needs. Driven by a passion for balancing profit and purpose, Jude asks the tough questions needed to achieve meaningful, systemic change.

Katie Rabone

Katie Rabone | CEO, Community People

Katie has worked in the VCSE sector for most of her career, apart from a 6-year stint as an External Funding Manager at a local authority.

Her time in the sector has included fundraising for a women’s domestic abuse charity, reviewing income strategies and strategic frameworks for regional museums and as a Head of Income for The EY Foundation. Over the past 10 years she has developed her own consultancy and delivered training on bid writing, grant management, business planning, and more, to The FA, the National Autistic Society, London Youth and Directory of Social Change. She was also a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Charity Development degree at the University of Chichester.

Many moons ago, I trained and worked as a part time youth leader and her passion for ensuring young people are heard in our communities has not dwindled. All things co-production, asset-based approaches and giving anyone the space to contribute to social change drives her approach at work.

Caroline Ward

Caroline Ward | Vice-Chair, FareShare Sussex & Surrey

Caroline is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in channel marketing, specializing in global, hypergrowth technology companies such as Cisco, 8×8, Avaya, and RingCentral. In her career, she has consistently combined her strategic expertise with a deep commitment to responsible business practices. Following a two-year break to pursue an MBA and earn certifications in Responsible Business Leadership and Clore Social Leadership, Caroline successfully integrated her knowledge and leadership skills to help vendors optimise their marketing programs whilst championing social impact initiatives.

In addition to her professional achievements, Caroline is a passionate advocate for community engagement and social responsibility. As Vice-Chair of FareShare Sussex & Surrey, she leads the Development Committee, playing a key role on the Board to tackle food poverty in region. She also led the Mid-Sussex Food Partnership, raising awareness of food insecurity and driving local initiatives to support vulnerable communities.

Caroline is committed to activities working with local businesses to establish community gardens, create pollination stations for bees, serve at warm hubs, and previously a Civilian Instructor with the RAF Air Cadets, she now sits on the Civilian Committee, driving funding and community outreach efforts.

As previous global fundraising and volunteering lead for a major organization, Caroline has played a pivotal role in establishing and implementing responsible business initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, mentoring, and community programs. Her work has had a lasting impact on the businesses she’s supported and the communities she serves.

Anna Reid

Anna Reid | Global Head of Corporate Partnerships, HALO Trust

Anna Reid is the Global Head of Corporate Partnerships at The HALO Trust, the world’s largest humanitarian landmine clearance organisation. She leads HALO’s global corporate strategy, building transformational partnerships with business to accelerate conflict recovery, strengthen community resilience, and create safer futures for people affected by war.

Before joining HALO, Anna served as Head of Corporate Partnerships at WaterAid, working to ensure everyone, everywhere has sustainable and safe water, sanitation, and hygiene. With more than a decade of experience across global health and international development, she specialises in strategic partnerships, corporate social impact, and cross‑sector collaboration.

Anna joined the judging panel in 2025.

Shelley Gregory-Jones

Shelley has over 25 years’ experience of charity fundraising and leadership across Education, the Arts, Public Health, Lifesciences, Animal Welfare, Disability, Social Enterprise, Environment and Housing. Over the course of her career, she has raised several £million from Trusts & Foundations, legacies and high net worth individuals.

Through her recent work at Allia – a charity that supports the development of the social enterprise sector – she has acquired a fuller understanding of the amazing power and potential of business for good.

She is currently supporting the Cambridge Science Centre and leading the development of a new hospital for hedgehogs in the city.

Her other professional interests focus on the future of the UK charitable sector and what it means to do good in the 21^st century.

She studied Philosophy at Cambridge University and has a MBA from the Cambridge Judge Business School.

Peter Hughes

Peter Hughes | Sustainability and Diversity Adviser

Peter is a freelance adviser and consultant on sustainability and diversity matters drawing on 25+ years of experience both in-house and in consultancy.

Most recently, Peter was Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Pearson. In this role, Peter was responsible for: diversity relationship management across the company; data, analysis and reporting; leading our efforts for marketplace eminence, including ratings, rankings, awards and accolades; and, interface with and support for our businesses, products and services.

Previously, Peter was Director of Sustainability at Pearson. In addition to involvement in Gender Pay Gap reporting for Pearson, in that role he also led on environmental management globally; supply chain responsibility and sustainability related rankings, awards and benchmarks.

Peter has also served as a Director at Corporate Citizenship where he provided strategic counsel on broad corporate responsibility strategy to global Fortune 500 companies / FTSE100 companies as well as time running their New York office.

Peter has been on the Judging Panel since 2019.

Preston Lahbang

Preston Lahbang | Photographer & Assistant Teacher, Lens on Life

Preston Lahbang is a 23-year-old photographer and educator from Cameroon’s North West Region. He began working in photography through a youth program, where he developed a strong interest in visual storytelling. Following the loss of his parents during the ongoing crisis in Cameroon, he took on the responsibility of caring for his younger siblings. Now based in Yaoundé, Preston works as an assistant teacher with Lens on Life in Yaounde and with Fambul Tok in Sierra Leone. He is also a scholar at the Audiovisual Heritage Training and Conservation Institute in Yaoundé. His work reflects a commitment to both creative expression and community impact.
