Goods for Good – our charity of the year!
We’re delighted to announce that Goods For Good is our nominated charity for 2019. The growing, UK-registered charity delivers overstocked goods donated by British industry and the local community to refugees and vulnerable communities around the world.
Since 2016, working with over 85 companies including Nike, Next, Uniqlo and Hunter Boots, it has saved over £15.5 million worth of humanitarian aid from being sent to landfill, distributing it to those in need.
The Global Good Awards, sponsored by Revive, will be supporting the charity in two ways: through financial donations via the Work for Good platform (all entries include a £10 donation, which the entrant has to specify – if they don’t, Goods for Good is the default option) and by encouraging relevant entrants to consider donating any of their unwanted stock, be it end-of-line or slight ‘seconds’. Donating surplus stock is a great way to help businesses hit their zero waste goals.
