International Print Day, 18th October
This month’s date for your diary is International Print Day: 24 hours of local knowledge sharing about print companies, products and services.
Our long term partners, Seacourt have a great story to tell. The printing industry is one of the world’s most polluting, something Seacourt are battling by using 100% renewable energy and electric cars. Not content with stopping there, they actively work with suppliers in France and the Czech Republic to help them reduce their environmental impacts. They’ve also recently been awarded the European Commission’s Eco Management and Audit Scheme Award (EMAS) for being Europe’s Most Sustainable SME. And they’re certified ‘beyond carbon neutral’ by Climate Care for their carbon offset scheme.
As Mark Pickford, Business Development manager puts it:
“Empathy with the planet is in Seacourt’s DNA. Our twenty year journey to becoming possibly the World’s cleanest and greenest printing company is something we hope that other organisations will be inspired to follow and embrace.”
And it’s not just Seacourt who have credentials worth mentioning. Revive 100 Offset tops the WWF ‘Check Your Paper’ list, with a 98% score. The ‘Check Your Paper’ list checks key environmental parameters to evaluate the forest, climate and water footprint of pulp and paper products, helping businesses make better choices about the paper they buy.
Here’s Gareth Dinnage, MD, explaining Seacourt’s revolutionary LightTouch printing method:
