2020 awards categories revealed
The categories for the 2020 edition of the Global Good Awards have been announced and reveal two new additions: Young Campaigner of the Year and Carbon Footprint Reduction of the Year.
The Young Campaigner of the Year category is open to an organisation or parent/guardian wishing to enter a young campaigner who has shown outstanding leadership in campaigning for a good cause whether it be a social or environmental issue. This category is free to enter with finalists also receiving two free ceremony tickets.
Karen Sutton, founder of the Awards, comments: “In an era where we are all inspired by the impressive Greta Thunberg, the Young Campaigner of the Year category was a no-brainer and we’re excited to see who’ll be put forward.”
The Carbon Footprint Reduction of the Year category is open to all organisations taking a considerable step towards becoming carbon neutral or net-positive. “With the climate emergency finally being recognised, we wanted to celebrate organisations that are putting back more into the environment than they’re taking out,” adds Karen.
The remaining categories for 2020 are: Global Good Company of the Year, Global Good SME of the Year, Individual Leader of the Year, Community Partnership Awards, Best Education, Employee Engagement & Wellbeing, Environmental Behaviour Change, Sustainable Supply Chain of the Year, Circular Economy, Best Product of the Year, Best Campaign of the Year, Best Start-up Enterprise, Technology for Good, Special Judges Award for Innovation and Special Judges Award for SDGs
