As part of our ongoing commitment to our entrants, The Global Good Awards is launching a series of Educational Clinics, delivered by our sponsors and partners.
Available to ALL 2022 entrants (not just those shortlisted), the 60-90 minute sessions will be an online meeting (not a webinar) so the attendees will be able to interact more and ask questions etc.
To book one of these sessions, please email Karen with the name of the session you’d like to attend.
NB: Numbers are limited for these sessions, to enable everyone to take part, so please only book if you plan to attend.
By booking one of these sessions, you agree to your email address being shared with the partner/sponsor running the session so they can follow up with any session materials.
Whatever session(s) you take part in, do come prepared with questions and ideas of your own; we’re all for the sharing of best practice!
Available sessions:

Planet Mark’s sustainability experts will help you navigate measuring and reducing carbon emissions, to ensure your sustainability efforts are credible and robust, and ultimately improve business performance.
1st June (11:00 BST UK time) – The Recycling System: Fact or Fiction?
In this clinic, Mark Horner, Head of Vertas Environmental, a first-class waste management company, looks at how recyclable your waste actually is. ‘Recyclable’ means that in its virgin state the material can be recycled somewhere in the world; this does not actually mean it is easily recyclable or practical. The product may well be able to be returned to the manufacturer for re-processing but this could be in the Far East for example. Even some of your everyday materials such as cardboard may well travel 100s if not 1,000s of miles to be recycled back to a board-based product.
Mark will also be delving into the mis-conceptions of biodegradable and compostable materials and the issues these bring.
1st June (16:00 BST UK time) – The importance of visual storytelling
A good story can brighten your day, change your mind or even your life. Whilst needs, attentions and markets are constantly shifting, the ancient power of storytelling remains one of the best ways humans connect. In today’s digital spaces, we need positive stories to uplift and encourage viewers without underplaying difficult realities. We need to stay on top of the tech, the algorithm, and the numbers without neglecting the value of relationship. In this session we discuss what makes a powerful story, and we go about capturing hearts and minds with powerful films. We’ll be drawing on our twenty years of experience working across the world with agencies, corporates, NGOs and good old fashioned entrepreneurs wanting to see their message change the world. Delivered by Prospect Arts
