Royal seal of approval for Seacourt
His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO visited Seacourt – the environmental printing company and one of the National CSR Awards key sponsors – recently to present the company with its third Queen’s Award, the highest accolade with which a business can be recognised in the UK.
The award was to mark Seacourt’s development of a world first technology in the printing industry. Called LightTouch, the process enables Seacourt to produce the highest quality printed materials with the lightest environmental impact possible, anywhere in the world. LightTouch uses 0% water and 0% chemicals – its factory is powered by 100% renewable energy, is carbon positive and produces ZERO waste to landfill.
“Everything starts with an idea, if you can think it you can create it,” commented Seacourt MD Gareth Dinnage. “Our vision is to have a business that ultimately benefits both the environment and society, with LightTouch we are edging ever closer to achieving our aspiration.”
