We’d love to keep sharing our exciting developments in the Global Good community with you, but you’ll need to ‘opt-in’ to our communications. Read more about how we protect your data here >>
Countdown to Closing Date – Why It’s Good to Enter
It may only be three weeks until our main closing date (four until the extended deadline) but there is still plenty of time to enter.
We are extremely proud to be one of the only awards programme to recognise and reward the actions rather than aims and targets of organisations that are driving change across all aspects of purpose-led sustainability and social impact.
We talk a lot about why entering the Global Good Awards is good for business and good for people but here are some reminders of why we think you should enter:
The Process
- All entrants receive Second-to-None Support throughout their application journey. Resources on our website guide you every step of the way and our founder makes a point of being available to chat to anyone needing advice – from that first click on the ‘ENTER NOW’ button to right through to deadline day. AwardStage provides us with a slick online entry system that ensures a painless, fuss-free application process for entrants and judges.
- All entrants receive free automatic feedback. We release all the scores and feedback submitted by our judges at two stages: after the shortlist is announced (for those that don’t make it) and after the ceremony (for all finalists). This feedback is not just scores; many of our judges give comprehensive written feedback and suggestions, which many entrants have used to progress and improve their activities.
Trust
- The Global Good Awards have held the ‘Outstanding’ Awards Trust Mark since 2018, the first in the world to do so, giving assurance to all entrants that we are totally independent, the judging process is transparent and robust, and there are no hidden costs.
- We make donations of £5 or £10 (depending on size of organisation) to Cool Earth from every paid entry in support of their deforestation initiatives which is processed with Work for Good to cut through the red tape of income linked donations. We also donate 1% of all turnover from sponsorship, entry fees and ticket sales to Cool Earth via 1% for the Planet.
- We have a thorough independent judging panel of highly experienced representatives from charities and corporations as well as independent consultants. They are specifically chosen for their expertise in particular categories so no judge is given a category that they have no experience in. All, however, can spot greenwashing! Many of our judges have been with us for several years; saying they gain a vast amount of knowledge and self-development by being part of the process.
- Aside for entry fees and tickets to attend the ceremony, there are no hidden costs, and you are free to use our intellectual property for your promotion purposes.
- We are purpose-led and independent which means that our decisions and actions are not influenced by any vested interests or operational restrictions; we are free to develop the Global Good Awards in line with our ethos.
Good for Your Business & Your People
- Whether a large or small company, social enterprise, start-up, charity or individual, associating with a truly sustainable awards programme is good for business.
- Just entering can present PR opportunities, let alone being short-listed and winning.
- If you make the short list, we will share the news with our media database. Winners in attendance also receive a piece to camera video of their team’s reactions to their win on the night at the ceremony (at physical events only).
- With millennials prioritising cause and impact in the workplace, a Global Good Award win, nomination or short-listing can help you attract talent. It is also an ideal way to recognise, reward and motivate employees already in your organisation.
- A win, short-listing or nomination can act as a 3rd party endorsement for your business and provides an opportunity to benchmark your business against your peers and competitors.
A Sustainable Event
With physical events now back on the calendar, it’s good to share what we do at our ceremony too:
- We’ve been serving delicious plant-based menus at our event since 2018; not just an afterthought vegan option but the whole menu.
- From 2022 we’ll be hosting a hybrid event. A physical event in London as well as a live stream of the ceremony for our finalists around the world who can’t travel to our event sustainably. We heavily discourage flying.
- Everything from our venue, printed material, signage, trophies, entertainment etc are all sustainable.

After Kokroma won two Global Good Awards in 2021, Gary Wornell shares how the awards have impacted their business and the communities founder Rewati Gurung supports (all in less than a year):
“Kokroma business is growing and has doubled the staff in the last six months. We are up to our ears replying to enquiries from all corners of the world and Rewati is constantly being asked as a motivational speaker – all a result of our wonderful surprise last year winning two Global Good Awards. The Awards have made a significant impact on not only Kokroma’s business but especially in giving Rewati exposure for the positive impact her work has had on communities here in Nepal. Thank you for taking us further down the road.”
