With a stunning new venue, and an ever-increasing momentum, excitement is building for the National CSR Awards 2016.
When: 12 May 2016
Where: The Crystal, London
Why: A celebration of the very best in CSR and sustainability
The National CSR Awards will take place on 12 May 2016 at The Crystal*, the world’s most sustainable events space.
The Crystal, located on Royal Victoria Dock in east London, is the only building in the world to achieve the highest certification in both the BREEAM and LEED schemes.
“The Crystal sets the benchmark for sustainable building design so it’s the perfect fit,” says Karen Sutton, Chief Executive, National CSR Awards. “An award winning building for our award winners! We’re thrilled.”
Having recently celebrated the Crystal’s 3rd Anniversary with a week of sustainability focused events and conferences, Josh Palmer, Head of Operations, Siemens, The Crystal, is excited to be the Awards 2016 host.
“We believe that the awards will be an ideal match for our venue’s core ambitions, and we look forward to playing our part in enhancing the CSR message,” said Palmer. “We are delighted to have the National CSR awards amongst our portfolio of world class events and are proud they have chosen the world’s most sustainable event venue as their location.”
The National CSR Awards, now in its second year, celebrate business excellence and innovation within the area of Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability.
Winners this year included businesses both large and small such as supermarket giant Tesco winning for its Eat Happy Project and Wyke Farms for its environmental leadership.
Bill Eyres, Head of Sustainability (UK and Europe) at Telefónica UK (O2) and recipient of the Individual Outstanding Leadership Award, is looking forward to the 2016 event.
“At O2, responsibility sits at the heart of the business and has done for a number of years. We were delighted and honoured to see this hard work recognised and celebrated at the inaugural National CSR awards in 2015,” commented Eyres.
“The awards are a great opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the great practice organisations are achieving, recognising sustainable and responsible practices. The impressive judging panel in 2015 added real credibility to the awards, making this one to watch for 2016.”
Entries for the 2016 awards will open after Christmas, and will include a number of new categories as well as a new format with a series of seminars running prior to the evening awards ceremony. Find out more information and register your interest via the 2016 Awards Programme page.
