From old friends to new, the list of finalists for the 2024 Global Good Awards is as amazing as ever…
After a round of online scoring, followed by an intense day of scrutiny at our in-person judging day, we are delighted to have arrived at such a high quality shortlist for the 2024 Global Good Awards.
We’re thrilled to welcome some old friends and regulars of the Global Good Awards, as well as many first-time applications. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, and it is encouraging to see the immense progress that’s being made by organisations and individuals across the ESG spectrum.
Amongst the returning entrants on the finalists’ podium, we have EY, Hubbub, Octopus, Recorra, SP Energy Networks, and Thales. But it’s not all about the big hitters; we have a plethora of new entrants from smaller and start-up organisations too, including Green Boom, Kelpi, and the Sustainable Recruitment Alliance.
Now in its fifth year, the Canon Young Champion of the Year once again has an impressive global spread of young changemakers aged between 17-25. We have ten finalists – five in each age group category – who will be eagerly waiting to hear if they’ve made the top spot when we hold our awards ceremony in October.
Finalists will have the chance to win Gold, Silver or Bronze awards. Some entries may also be recognised as a ‘One to Watch’ for their excellent project or initiative but are deemed by judges to be too early into their journey to win a podium place. We have broken from the norm this year, by announcing which awards are due to be presented in each category; our robust judging process means that we don’t always award a Gold, for example.
We introduced a number of new categories for 2024:
- Finance Player of the Year
- Humanitarian Response Champions
- Wild World: Recover, Regenerate, Rewild
